A look at the new Apple phones: iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR

Apple introduced the world to its new generation of iPhone, in the form of iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr. While they all have very similar names, each brings its own set of features, aesthetics, and price.

IPHONE XS AND XS MAX

The iPhone Xs is the successor to last year’s iPhone X. It comes with a nearly bezel-less 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display and notch at the top. Meanwhile, there is a larger version – iPhone Xs Max. Apple took a slightly different path this time around, with the iPhone Xs Max instead of releasing a "Plus" version. There is a larger one – a 6.5-inch Retina OLED display instead of the usual 5.5-inch ones, like on the iPhone 7 Plus or 8 Plus.

Both models are available in different colors – gold, gray and silver. The Xs and Xs Max are also covered with tempered glass but have higher durability and an IP68 rating for water resistance.

On the back of the smartphones you will find two new cameras: a 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilization, 2x optical zoom and f/2.2 aperture. With the TrueDepth camera management system, you can take advantage of features such as Face ID and animojis (face scanner and animated emoticons).

IPHONE XR

Along with the $1,000+ iPhone Xs and Xs Max, Apple also introduced what it considers a "budget" alternative to the iPhone X called the iPhone XR for $749. .
